New Song: Give Me Your Eyes by Brandon Heath

Tearful Encounter

I have been hearing this song on the radio for the last couple of weeks and the more I listen to it, the more I have made it my prayer…God is opening new doors for me and it has been exciting…partly because I knew once I surrendered to Him in certain areas of my life He would do "great and mighty" things…as I told Greg (Blog Quest) instead of being amazed at the things He does I am "delighted". FYI to my last blog entry…I have lost 12 lbs since last Wednesday and have began my daily exercise…at the same time my mind seems to be renewed and refreshed.  I am believing God for the rest on my list!

I hope that you are able to to hear my music player because the first song playing is the one below. It may not be your type of music but the words are awesome! May God give us all "eyes to see" those around us in need of the Savior!!!!!
Grace to you
Shell

Looked down from a broken sky
Traced out by the city lights
My world from a mile high
Best seat in the house tonight
Touched down on the cold black tile
Hold on for the sudden stop
Breath in the familiar shock
Of confusion and chaos
Are those people going somewhere?
Why have I never cared?

Chorus:
Give me your eyes for just one second
Give me your eyes so I can see
Everything that I keep missing
Give me your love for humanity
Give me your arms for the broken hearted
The ones that are far beyond my reach
Give me your heart for the once forgotten
Give me your eyes so I can see
yeah
yeah
yeah
yeah

Step out on a busy street
See a girl and our eyes meet
Does her best to smile at me
To hide whats underneath
Theres a man just to her right
Black suit and a bright red tie
To ashamed to tell his wife
He’s out of work
He’s buying time
Are those people going somewhere?
Why have I never cared?

Chorus

Ive Been there a million times
A couple of million eyes
Just moving past me by
I swear I never thought that I was wrong
Well I want a second glance
So give me a second chance
To see the way you see the people all alone

  2. Life is full of beautiful flowers and I\’m so happy that you are seeing them most everywhere you look these days.  Yes, His grace is sufficient.  Love to you Shell.

    Good evening C…

    Very good…
Give me your eyes for just one second Give me your eyes so I can see Everything that I keep missing Give me your love for humanity Give me your arms for the broken hearted The ones that are far beyond my reach Give me your heart for the once forgotten Give me your eyes so I can see
    I liked the song…
He wants us to see through Him and other to see Him in us.
    Thanks for sharing and you’re a blessing…Greg

  4. Thanks C…
You are right, I kind of hodgepodge what I was trying to explain about Jesus\’ compassion and how we as believers should always have compassion.
Probably still did not have enough coffee in me this morning.
Let me try explain again more clearly…
Compassion has the ability to draw out and bring about deliverance for someone from human misery and suffering. Jesus\’ compassion brought and still brings deliverance. If we have the divine compassion of Jesus in us, we can help assist in deliverance from God in us and through us.
There I think that makes more sense.
    Have a nice evening…Greg

Thanks for all the prayers – I was scrapping the otherday and came upon this quate: The will of God will not take you where the grace of God can not protect you – Nice hay. So I know Saudi is where the Lord want\’s us (not sure why yet), and so I believe we are in save hands. I\’m thouched by your consern though. Want to share the secret on the weight loss? Ah I know, no goodies for the kids to tempt you 😉 That\’s my problem. Hugs and God bless Jaleen xxx

  7. Hello Shell,

I am like you, don\’t use so much cell phone.
Technology is a great thing but we have to
save ourselves from its side effects.

Have a great weekend, hugs, Zeynep xx

  10. Well I found your blog, it seems that when I clicked on Blog in the upper tool bar I came to a spot void of all but a picture of a palm tree and I didn\’t think to just scroll down from the top of the page to see if it was here.  Sometime I\’m dense like that. HA!  Disregard the e-mail message.
