Seek and you shall find Him! I know cuz I did!

Isn’t it amazing how when we seek

God, we find Him, not just in one place but everywhere our eyes fall!  This week has been an awesome week for me in the Lord.  Our church had its 16th annual Bible Conference and it lasted Sunday through Wednesday.  I sang in the choir each night and we heard some anointed messages.  You know God is present when everything goes together, not just in the service but in your personal life as well. The theme I kept hearing in everything was never quit on God because God never quits on us.

And He doesn’t.  I wish I could list for you all the times God has been faithful to me and my children.  But I am afraid the blog would never end.  When I put the "God’s Faithful Times" list up in my mind and then put the list of my faithfulness next to it….I am utterly ashamed, undone.  I even spoke to Him in my spirit during one of the sermons, "O God I wish that I had seen what my unfaithfulness would do to your heart" and tears came to my eyes. And then without skipping a beat He spoke back "I love you with an everlasting love"  That night after arriving home, I was walking on the sidewalk to my apartment still thinking of the message and the Words He spoke to me during the service, when a gentle cool breeze blew against my face.  You ever get a tickle down the back of your neck when you knew something awesome just happened? Well not only did I get that tickle but a smile just crept across my face…I knew it was God and He was whispering to me.

For the rest of the night I just had the image of God, creator of all the universe who spoke the world into being, standing next to me, pointing to everything that He had orchestrated in my life.  My health, my home, my children and even my faith.  My faith to see and believe that it was indeed Him.

The very next morning a dear friend sent me an e-card.  Guess what the card was about?  It featured a song by Chris Tomlin "Indescribable" and it said "An awesome God who created the universe, also cares about every detail of your life!" It had pictures of stars and the galaxies.

Now this is the cool part.  My friend lives in another town and had no idea that the song we, the choir, sang at church the night before was none other than "Indescribable" by Chris Tomlin.  And that right before the message our Pastor had talked about the stars that God spoke into existence and named each one.  An amazing, uncontainable, indescribable God!

Isn’t it amazing how when we seek God we find Him!

Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.

Psalm 36:5

  1. The moment you experienced walking home from church is one of those moments I call "Holy Spirit Goose Bumps."  Often, and I\’m sure you will agree, those of us that love the Lord have many experiences that simply cannot be put into words.  We find ourselves in conversations with the Master driving down the road, planting a flower, or suffering in physical or emotional pain.  You see, I don\’t believe there are any atheists in the world, just those that seek to dismiss what they can\’t explain.  So sad to see the secular world count riches in material possessions or vanity that leads to desires for fame among man.  You, my sister in Christ, are just another of His blessings to me.  I seek not to flatter you, just to symbolically embrace you with a brotherly hug.  Next time you praise His name in the choir, think of me singing bass from Tennessee.  Sending a smile and a prayer your way…..J.W.L.

  2. my dear friend, want to get back to you about your blog, it says so much, picks up on so much, etc etc. but time is short now, and 1 wanted to get back to you about the comment you left on my spaceand thank you for it. yes so often we do need that reminder,  yes it is a marvel, his faithfulness to us, and how he knows and understands all our problems – well again, your words your pictures have bought many things to mind, so 1 will be back to reflect – in the meantime, may god continue to bless you richly, as you continue to serve him, – take care – nita.

  6. oh shell, this blog, brought tears to my eyes, those times are so special, so heart warming, aren\’t they – yr first picture, and the words this has been an awesome week for me in the lord. both were given to me by the young friend 1 mentioned to you before – 1 have upset her and she is no longer speaking to me, her sister is on messenger most days to me and my daughter, and the conversations are not good – we have tried so hard to help both of them and this week have felt like giving up – felt lord saying to me yesterday, "be persistant" your blog reminds me of his faithfulness and everlasting love. then the trees 1 have had lots of thoughts on trees in the past and this week – then the clouds, 1 have been looking at pictures on anothers site and in one of the cloud formations, 1 was sure 1 could see the face of jesus – well will not write a blog on here. but you are truly an encouragement, how great it must be to sing for the lord in the choir, and to hear anionted messages, but perhaps even greater to have him whisper in your ear. god bless you – nita.

  11. Hi Shell, Just dropping in to say hi. Thanks for dropping by my space and for sharing your kind thoughts. I have enjoyed my visit here this evening. Your photo\’s and your blog postings were and are a rich blessing. I was especially touched and blessed with the tribute you did of your beloved sister. Thanks for sharing. Great post today.  Yes I can identify with what you have shared today. Indeed we serve an awesome God. Our God is faithful, He is Jehovah Jireh our provider. Yes indeed when we search for Jesus we shall find Him. I came to know Jesus as my personal Savior back in 1977. My life hasn\’t been the same. In all the 30 years I have served the Lord I have found my God to be faithful. Your space is an inspiration! Keep Shining for Jesus!  God Bless you my friend, Judith
